Evaluation of dynamic behavior of non-uniform structures with account of non-linear and viscous-elastic characteristics of material

Abstract

This paper presents the study of numeric simulation of dynamic processes in earth structures with account of constructional non-uniformity, non-linear elastic and viscous-elastic characteristics of soil, elaboration of the methods of solution of dynamic problems and evaluation of stress-strain state of certain high dams in plane and spatial statements. Natural vibrations and dynamic behavior of three earth dams of different height, located in Uzbekistan, were studied under different kinematic effects, including real records of accelerograms of earthquakes. A number of new mechanical effects were revealed.
