Abstract

Phase equilibria in quinary Na,K,Mg,Sr||Cl–H2O system at 100°C were studied by means of translation method. Three points, 10 curves and 12 fields were determined in the system. Eight of the curves were formed by transformation of quaternary points while the remaining two curves were formed between the quinary points. All of the 12 fields were generated from transformation of quaternary monovariant curves into fields. Total phase equilibria diagram of the system was constructed based on obtained data. Six diagrams for the parts saturated with each of the equilibrium solid phases in the system were extracted from the total diagram. The diagram for halite saturated part agrees well with the available experimental results in literature.
