Abstract

A series of novel complexes NiL n · NH3 were obtained by reactions of equimolar amounts of the ligands H2L n (prepared by condensation of aroyl(perfluoroacyl)methanes with benzoylhydrazine) as solutions in ethanol and nickel(II) acetate as a solution in aqueous ammonia. The empirical formulas and square planar structures of the complexes obtained were determined using elemental analysis, IR and 1H NMR spectroscopy, and X-ray diffraction.
