Abstract
The research purpose is the description of the promising approach to the substantiation of terms of useful application of connection lines of the railway transport on the basis of the risk evaluation. In the research methods of the casual analysis and the risk analysis according to international standards. The offered, risk-oriented approach allows taking into account the actual state of operated connection lines of the railway transport during the planning of work volumes within their technical maintenance.
