Abstract

In this work the faster-than-light propagation taking account of diffraction of ultimately short electromagnetic video solitons and envelope solitons in a bicomponent nonequilibrium medium undergoing two-level quantum transitions with widely differing eigenfrequencies is examined. The conditions of stable propagation with respect to self-focusing are determined.
