Abstract

An investigation of the interstellar reddening law, based upon recent observations and a careful comparison with the UBV system and emphasizing the ultraviolet, confirms previously identified features in the visible and reveals an additional change in slope near 3200 A. Over no octave of spectrum does an inverse-wavelength law satisfactorily represent the interstellar reddening law, to the accuracy of modern observations.
