Abstract

The subject of this monograph is an important and well circumscribed branch of theoretical nuclear physics and Oxford University Press are to be congratulated for making available at such a low price an expert's presentation of the whole field. The subject is treated at a level which should allow anyone familiar with the fundamentals of quantum mechanics to understand it fully.
