Abstract

Abstract From a small series of patients hospitalized with rheumatoid arthritis, six cases are presented in which Baker's cysts were associated with pain and swelling of the calf, initially erroneously diagnosed as thrombophlebitis. The pathogenesis of these calf symptoms is reviewed.
