Improvement of groundwater monitoring on the basis of modern info-communication and GIS technologies
Abstract
The article describes the methodology for improving the monitoring system of groundwater on the basis of modern information and communication and GIS technologies, which allows: firstly, to significantly reduce the time for collecting and analyzing information for making operational management decisions and, secondly, to greatly increase the reliability, to eliminate the human factor, as well as: visualize in the form of digital data on the level, chemical composition and physical properties of groundwater; assess the state of flooded areas, as well as carry out a comprehensive assessment of these areas based on the use of modern hardware and software, integrate, analyze and provide information support for making managerial decisions to prevent negative consequences.
