Abstract

Abstract Bross and Bohn have suggested a form for the electron–phonon matrix element which avoids the serious difficulties that are associated with the one OPW approximation for the case of a Fermi surface that intersects zone boundaries. Using this suggested form, we have calculated the electron–phonon mass enhancement, the transport scattering times, and the electrical resistivity. A discussion of the merits and limitations of the Bross‐Bohn matrix element is included.
