Abstract

The Fokker–Planck equation μ∂f/∂x=α∂/∂μ [(1−μ2) ∂f/∂μ], describing particles undergoing elastic small angle collisions with infinitely massive scatterers in a slab, is solved in a variety of limits by analytic and numerical means.
