Abstract
Abstract 13 C NMR studies of 4′‐R‐dibenzo‐18‐crown‐6 and 4′‐R‐dibenzo‐24‐crown‐8 showed that the substituent influence is transferred through the macrocycle to a remote aromatic ring. The transfer is due to steric effects and depends on crown ether complex formation.
