Abstract
In this article, the state language policy in the late 1980s in the region of Uzbekistan, the need to adopt the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On the State Language" and its historical sources, the advantages and disadvantages of the previous law, the most important changes in the subsequent edition, the importance of this law in the development the state language has been discussed and discussed.
