Two different families of hydroxyproline-rich glycoproteins, HRGP, and HRGP2, have been isolated from melon callus and separated by ion exchange chromatography on CM-sepharose. HRGPI corresponds to an arabinogalactan protein. The sugar portion of HRGPI accounts for 94%
