Abstract
We study the electroproduction transition of the Roper resonance ${N}^{*}(1440)$ based on a relativistic quark model. The relativistic and meson cloud effects are stressed in this paper. Better agreement for the transverse helicity amplitudes is obtained than with the constituent quark model. A comprehensive understanding of the Roper resonance properties is achieved.
