Low temperature resistivity measurements on nickel and cobalt alloys

Abstract

The author presents low temperature resistivity measurements on dilute nickel and cobalt binary alloys with Cu, Zn, Ga, Ge and As impurities and on NiCoGe ternary alloys. The residual resistivities of binary alloys are proportional to the square of the impurity charge excess. Moreover these experiments suggest that the residual resistivities rho 0 sigma ( sigma =spin up, spin down) associated with each spin sub-band sigma are practically equal.
