Abstract

Abstract The dynamic behaviour of solitons in the random anharmonic chain in the long‐wavelength approximation is investigated. Long‐time accumulative effects are described of weak stochastic perturbations on Korteweg‐de Vries solitons. A law is found of the stochastic acceleration of solitons and the amplitude of a soliton is calculated in the case of short‐range fluctuations of the spatial inhomogeneities of the chain.
