Effects of impurities on the orbital magnetic susceptibility

Abstract
A theory for the change in the orbital magnetic susceptibility due to impurities is presented using an extension of the average $t$-matrix approximation so that the result is exact to first order in concentration. The present result represents an improvement over existing techniques in that interband terms are included which have been shown to be very important in determining the susceptibility.
