Abstract
Three triterpenes (ursolic acid, α–amyrin and friedelin) and two steroids (β–sitosterol and β–sitosterol–β–D–glucosid) were isolated from leaves of Vaccinium uliginosum L. (Ericaceae). The presence of oleanolic acid is probable too, while the presence of condensated tannins and the absence of alkaloids and of toxic diterpenes as grayanotoxines have been proved.
