Effect of Acid Aluminum on Absorption of Al and N,P,K in Eucalyptus Clones with Different Aluminum Tolerance
Abstract
Soil culture method was conducted to appraise the effect of acid aluminum treatment on the absorption of Al,N,P and K in Eucalyptus clones(Eucalyptus grandis× E.urophylla Guanglin No.9,E.grandis× E.urophylla No.12,E.urophylla No.4,E.urophylla× E.camaldulensis No.3) with different aluminum tolerance. It was found that the root was the main organ to accumulate Al in Eucalyptus clones and had the largest increase after acid-Al treatments. The Al-tolerant clones(Eucalyptus grandis× E.urophylla Guanglin No.9) increased by 43.0 % while the weak Al-tolerant clones(E.urophylla Guanglin No.4) increased by 95.6 % on average. At the same time the content of N rose up intensively in the root of Guanglin No.9,which could be the special mechanism in Al-tolerance genotypes. There was no direct proportion between the content of P with aluminum tolerance for its irregular response to Al.But the absorption of K was promoted, which indicated that K played an important role in the Al-tolerant mechanism of Eucalyptus.
