Priority directions for the development of civil society in Uzbekistan
Abstract
This article discusses the strategic directions of the development of civil society for the mediumand long term. Moreover, an important task is to initiate, fundamental and applied research with theparticipation of scientific and expert circles in the field of development of civil society; the development ofindicators for assessing the progress of civil society; the level of interaction of its institutions with statebodies, as well as their contribution to the socio-economic development of the country.The next priority area is the organization of the developmental proposals on improving the organizational,legal and economic foundations of the civil society institutions` activities.Particular attention is also required to increase the effectiveness of social partnership and public control;create favorable conditions for expanding the participation of civil society institutions in publicadministration; further strengthening their organizational capacity, and organizing capacity-buildingtrainings development specialists
