Further experimental results for three- dimensional free jets.

Abstract

This paper presents a succinct exposition of further investigations into the bulk properties of three-dimensional, turbulent, incompressible jets, supplementing earlier research. Additional remarks based on recent experiments are made with regard to the axis velocity decays, the three flow regions, half-width boundaries, velocity profile similarity, approach to axisymmetry, mass entrainment, and momentum conservation and velocity irregularities in threedimensional jets.
