Abstract

The theory of the Heisenberg ferromagnet with first- and second-neighbour interactions is compared with recent experimental work on two copper salts. Exact series and Padé approximant extrapolations are used at high temperatures and non-interacting spin-wave theory at low temperatures. We find values for the exchange parameters ensure close agreement between theory and experiment at both high and low temperatures.
