Abstract

Ambiguous intuitionistic fuzzy set (AIFS) theory is more suitable tool to deal with uncertainties as compared to fuzzy set (FS) and intuitionistic FS. In this paper, a method for the classification of renewable energy sources (RES) under the AIFS environment is proposed. Firstly, we propose new aggregation operators, namely the ambiguous-intuitionistic weighted-geometric (AI-WG) and the ambiguous-intuitionistic ordered-weighted-geometric (AI-OWG) are proposed, to fuse AIFNs input information. Then, based on these defined operators, we develop an approach for RES-selection problem and successfully applied it for a RES classification. The obtained results are compared with some considered methods to verify its effectiveness and efficiency.
