Abstract

The linguistic architecture of pharmaceutical science is built upon the heritage of Latin, yet the modern educational approach often fails to bridge the gap between classical grammar and scientific application. This executive summary outlines a comprehensive study into the necessity of a hybrid pedagogical framework. Traditionally, pharmacy students encounter Latin as a static subject, disconnected from the dynamic realities of clinical practice, which leads to a rapid decline in knowledge retention and professional utility. The core objective of this research is to propose a strategic roadmap that transforms Latin instruction from a humanities-based elective into a core clinical competency. By analyzing the structural differences between Classical Latin and the specific demands of Scientific Latin such as the International Nonproprietary Names (INN) system and pharmacopoeial standards this study identifies key areas for curricular optimization. The proposed roadmap emphasizes a "Functional-First" methodology, where linguistic rules are introduced through the lens of chemical nomenclature, botanical taxonomy, and therapeutic classification. Furthermore, the integration of digital learning ecosystems and simulated clinical environments is presented as a vital solution to current pedagogical gaps.
