Abstract

This article comprehensively analyzes the formation, current state and development prospects of Russian philology in the Republic of Uzbekistan. In a multinational and multilingual society, the Russian language has historically been an important social, cultural and scientific-communicative tool. Today, Russian philology is developing not only as a direction of language and literature, but also inextricably linked with interdisciplinary directions such as sociolinguistics, intercultural dialogue, translation studies and linguoculturology. The article discusses the role of higher education institutions in the development of Russian philology, the introduction of modern pedagogical and innovative teaching methods, and the use of digital educational technologies. It also analyzes the problems arising in the context of language choice among young people, the social status of the Russian language and global language policy.
