Abstract
This article explores the phenomenon of neologisms in English and their role in the ongoing evolution of the language. It examines the mechanisms of new word formation, including compounding, blending, borrowing, and semantic shift. The study also discusses the social, cultural, and technological factors driving lexical innovation. By analyzing recent examples from digital communication, media, and popular culture, the article demonstrates how neologisms reflect changes in society, thought patterns, and communicative practices.
