Abstract
Ensuring the continuous availability of safe, effective, and affordable medicines is one of the strategic priorities of every country. Drug security plays a crucial role in maintaining the stability of healthcare systems and protecting public health. This article analyzes the role of the domestic pharmaceutical industry in ensuring national drug security, reducing dependence on imports, and strengthening the sustainability of medicine supply. Special attention is given to the importance of local production, quality assurance, innovation, and state support in the development of the pharmaceutical sector. The study highlights key challenges and future prospects of domestic pharmaceutical manufacturing as a foundation for ensuring reliable access to essential medicines.
