Abstract

Teaching English to young learners requires the use of methods that are engaging, motivating, and psychologically supportive. Children learn languages more effectively when they feel relaxed, confident, and interested in the learning process. Traditional teaching methods often create anxiety and pressure, which may negatively affect learners’ performance. Therefore, modern language teaching methodologies focus on creating a positive emotional atmosphere in the classroom. One such method is Suggestopedia, which aims to remove psychological barriers to learning. Developed by the Bulgarian psychologist Georgi Lozanov, Suggestopedia emphasizes the importance of suggestion, music, and a comfortable learning environment. This paper explores the application of Suggestopedia in teaching English to young learners and evaluates its effectiveness.
