Abstract

It examines how lexical, grammatical, and stylistic devices are used to describe personality traits in different modes of communication. The study also considers pragmatic and contextual factors that influence the interpretation of character descriptions. By comparing spoken and written discourse, the article highlights similarities and differences in the ways character traits are expressed and evaluated in English.
