Abstract
Nationality plays a crucial role in the socio-cultural life of every nation, being expressed through language, culture, traditions, and symbolic values. Language serves not only as a communication tool but also as a repository of national memory, historical experience, and worldview. From this perspective, linguoculturology provides a theoretical and methodological framework for studying nationality, interpreting language as a semiotic phenomenon that reflects cultural archetypes, national mentality, and spiritual heritage. This article examines the ethnolinguistic and semiotic significance of geographic terms in Uzbek and English, highlighting their semantic, connotative, and symbolic aspects.
