THE IMPACT OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE ON DEVELOPING SPEAKING SKILLS AMONG UZBEK EFL LEARNERS
Abstract
This article examines the transformative impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) on English language teaching and learning within the educational framework of Uzbekistan. Following the national strategy for promoting foreign language proficiency, the integration of digital tools has become essential. The research explores how AI-driven platforms serve as personalized tutors, enhance speaking skills, and reduce psychological barriers among learners. Through a quantitative survey of 50 university students, the study demonstrates significant improvements in student engagement and confidence. The findings suggest that AI, when used as a complementary tool to traditional instruction, can accelerate the achievement of national educational goals.
