Abstract

This study looks at language as a dynamic social resource that both reflects and constructs social reality. Grounded in sociolinguistic theory, the study conceptualizes communication not merely as information exchange but as a socially situated practice embedded in structures of identity, power, and ideology. Drawing on variationist sociolinguistics, interactional approaches, and critical discourse analysis, the article demonstrates how linguistic variation systematically correlates with social categories such as class, gender, ethnicity, and institutional authority.
