Abstract
Activated carbon composites containing alumina have high porosity (up to ∼2800 m 2 g −1 and 1.5 cm 3 g −1 ) and packing density (∼1 g cm −3 ), which translates to extraordinary methane volumetric uptake of up to 474 cm 3 (STP) cm −3 at 25 °C and 100 bar.
