Abstract
Gendereducationinpreschoolsettingsrepresentsacomplexandmultifacetedareaofresearchthatencompassespedagogy,developmentalpsychology,sociology,andculturalstudies.Theearlyyearsofchildhoodareaformativetimeduringwhichchildrenconstructtheirgenderidentitiesthroughinteraction,play,language,andinstitutionalsettings.Despiteawealthofempiricalresearch,theoreticaldebatescontinuetoexistregardingtheconceptualizationofgender,theinterplaybetweenbiologicalandsocietalinfluences,andappropriatepedagogicalapproachesforearlychildhoodsettings
