THE ROLE OF AUTHENTIC MATERIALS TO IMPROVE LISTENING SKILL.
Abstract
This study investigates the role of authentic materials in enhancing listening comprehension in the context of foreign language education. It defines what authentic resources are and outlines their distinguishing characteristics compared with instructional or simplified texts. The paper emphasizes how contact with real-life language supports learners in understanding natural speech, refining pronunciation, broadening vocabulary, and developing cultural insight. Moreover, the research highlights methodological guidelines for the careful selection and pedagogical use of such materials in the classroom. The results indicate that authentic input strengthens students’ motivation and equips them more successfully for communication in real-world situations
