Abstract

The relevance of this article stems from the significant focus within the methodology of teaching Russian as a second and foreign language in the universities of Uzbekistan on addressing challenges such as overcoming interference and leveraging the transposition of speaking skills. The author identifies interlinguistic interference and transposition (positive transfer) of speaking skills as the key issues in Russian studies concerning the education of non-native speakers in the higher education institutions of Uzbekistan.
