Abstract
This article examines the theoretical and methodological foundations of teaching the mother tongue in primary education. It analyzes the goals and objectives of the subject, key instructional directions, teaching methods, speech development activities, assessment criteria, and the role of modern pedagogical technologies. The study is structured according to the IMRAD format (Introduction, Methods, Results, and Discussion, Conclusion) and meets academic writing requirements.
