Abstract

Bronchial asthma (BA) is a chronic inflammatory disease of the airways characterized by variable airflow obstruction, bronchial hyperresponsiveness, and recurrent symptoms. In primary school children (6–10 years old), asthma remains one of the leading chronic diseases, significantly affecting quality of life and increasing the burden on healthcare systems. Effective management requires an integrated approach combining early diagnosis, evidence-based pharmacotherapy, patient and family education, and individualized disease control strategies. This article reviews current therapeutic approaches to asthma management in young school-aged children.
