Abstract
This article examines the concept of medical deontology, its specific features, and its role in the professional activities of healthcare workers. It emphasizes that every physician, when communicating with patients and their relatives, must be attentive to every word — both what should be said and what should not be said. The article shows that in different periods of human societal development, deontological relationships developed in various ways and changed in accordance with the demands of the time.
