TEACHING FOREIGN LANGUAGES THROUGH THE COMMUNICATIVE METHOD
Abstract
This article discusses the effectiveness of teaching foreign languages through the communicative method. The communicative approach is considered one of the most modern and effective methods in language teaching because it focuses on developing learners’ communicative competence and practical language use in real-life situations. The study analyzes the main principles of the communicative method, including interaction, learner-centered activities, and the use of authentic materials in the classroom. Particular attention is given to the role of teachers in creating communicative learning environments that encourage students to actively participate in discussions, dialogues, and problem-solving tasks. The article also highlights the advantages of this method in improving speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills.
