Abstract
Learning the English language is a complex and multifaceted process that involves more than memorizing vocabulary or understanding grammar rules. At the core of effective language acquisition lie cognitive processes such as attention, memory, perception, thinking, and problem-solving. These mental functions enable learners to process new information, retain linguistic patterns, and apply knowledge in real communication. This article explores the role of cognitive processes in learning English and explains how they influence comprehension, speaking ability, and long-term language proficiency.
