Abstract

This article examines the derivational processes underlying the formation of neologisms in modern 21st-century Russian. It analyzes the most productive word-formation patterns, types of affixation, conversion, word-formation hybridization, and derivational adaptation of borrowings. Particular attention is paid to the role of digital communication as a factor in activating derivational processes. The study focuses on lexical units found in online discourse, mass media, and colloquial speech.
