Abstract

This article examines modern neologisms in the Uzbek language and analyzes their sociolinguistic features. The study focuses on the emergence of new words in connection with social development, scientific and technological progress, globalization, mass media, and internet communication. It discusses the role of neologisms in enriching the lexical system of the Uzbek language and highlights the social factors influencing their formation, spread, and active usage. The article also considers the relationship between language and society, showing how new lexical units reflect cultural changes, public needs, and communicative tendencies in contemporary Uzbek speech. Special attention is paid to the functional, semantic, and social characteristics of neologisms as an important object of sociolinguistic research.
