Abstract
This article examines the integration of the competency-based approach and digital tools in foreign language teaching. It analyzes how digital technologies support the development of communicative, linguistic, sociocultural, and professional competencies in higher education. Using a mixed-method design, the study evaluates the effectiveness of blended learning, learning management systems, AI-based applications, and interactive platforms. The findings show that aligning competency-based principles with digital technologies enhances student motivation, autonomy, and communicative performance while also highlighting key implementation challenges and practical recommendations.
