Abstract
In modern language education, developing listening skills is a crucial component of communicative competence. Traditional listening teaching materials often fail to reflect real language use, limiting students' ability to understand real speech. This article examines the role of authentic materials in teaching listening, highlighting their effectiveness in developing comprehension, familiarizing students with natural language, and increasing student motivation. It also analyzes the challenges of their use and offers practical recommendations for integrating authentic resources into the educational process.
