Abstract
The article analyzes the concept of medical terminology within modern terminological theories from cognitive, discursive, and sociolinguistic perspectives. It examines medical terms as means of knowledge conceptualization, professional discourse organization, and reflection of socio-cultural factors. These approaches make it possible to interpret medical terminology not as static units, but as dynamic and functional linguistic phenomena.
