Abstract

Robotic surgery represents one of the most significant technological breakthroughs in modern medicine. Over the past two decades, robotic systems have transformed surgical practice by enhancing precision, improving visualization, and enabling minimally invasive procedures. Robotic platforms are now widely used in general surgery, urology, gynecology, oncology, and cardiothoracic surgery. This article presents an analytical review of current scientific data on the implementation of robotic technologies in general surgery, focusing on their technological principles, clinical effectiveness, advantages, and limitations. Special attention is given to the relationship between technological innovation and improved clinical outcomes. Robotic systems allow surgeons to perform complex procedures with enhanced dexterity, tremor filtration, and three-dimensional visualization. Clinical studies demonstrate reduced blood loss, fewer postoperative complications, shorter hospital stays, and faster patient recovery compared to traditional surgical techniques. Despite challenges such as high cost and training requirements, robotic surgery continues to expand rapidly and is expected to play a central role in the future of surgical care.
