Abstract
This scientific article analyzes the pedagogical views of Mahmudkho‘ja Behbudiy, one of the leading representatives of the Jadid movement, the factors that shaped these views, and their significance for the modern education system. The study provides a comprehensive discussion of the role of enlightenment, national awakening, secular knowledge, and new-method schools in Behbudiy’s activities, and scientifically substantiates the extent to which his pedagogical concept aligns with contemporary educational practice.
