Abstract
Diabetes mellitus is a chronic metabolic disorder characterized by persistent hyperglycemia resulting from impaired insulin secretion, insulin action, or both. Despite significant advances in pharmacotherapy, managing diabetes remains challenging due to long-term complications and adverse effects associated with synthetic drugs. In this context, medicinal plants have gained increasing attention as complementary therapeutic agents.
